For heavy forklift traffic or very uneven floors, a thicker system such as SL 500 self-leveling epoxy or MORTAR 600 epoxy mortar is a better fit.
Surface Preparation
Good preparation decides how long the floor lasts. The slab is ground or shot-blasted, cracks and holes are filled, and all dust is vacuumed. The floor is then sealed with PRIME 100 epoxy floor primer before EPX 200 goes on.
How It Is Applied
- Prime the prepared concrete with PRIME 100.
- Mix EPX 200 part A and part B fully.
- Apply the first coat by roller, keeping a wet edge.
- Apply the second coat once the first has cured enough, as per the TDS.
- Add line marking or anti-slip texture where needed.

Colours and Line Marking
EPX 200 can be ordered in several shades. Many factories use one colour for work zones and another for walkways, with yellow lines for forklift lanes and safety areas. Planning the colours before work starts makes the floor easier to manage later.
Care and Maintenance
Sweep daily and mop with a neutral floor cleaner. Avoid steel wire brushes and very strong solvents. Wipe up oil and chemical spills quickly, even on an industrial epoxy floor coating, so they do not dry and stain. Put rubber pads under heavy machine feet and racks to stop point damage.

On a well-prepared floor it lasts for many years. Very busy areas may need a fresh top coat after some time to bring back the shine.
Can it be used outdoors?
Epoxy can yellow in direct sun. For outdoor or sunny areas, finish the industrial epoxy floor coating with PU 700 polyurethane coating.
How soon can the floor be used?
Light foot traffic is usually possible after about a day, with full use after several days. Exact times depend on temperature and are listed in the TDS.
