Floorvyn PU 700 Polyurethane Floor Coating

Floorvyn PU 700 is a flexible, UV-stable polyurethane floor coating. Use it as a top coat over epoxy or on its own where floors get sun, heat or vibration.

Floorvyn PU 700 is a polyurethane floor coating that stays tough but slightly flexible after it cures. It keeps its colour in sunlight, handles wear well and copes with temperature swings that can crack harder coatings.

Why Choose a Polyurethane Floor Coating

Epoxy is hard and strong, but it can yellow in sunlight. A polyurethane floor coating does not have that problem, which is why PU 700 is often used as the final coat over epoxy. Its flexibility also helps on floors with vibration or heat changes, such as near ovens, cold rooms or machinery.

Key Features

  • Wear resistance: holds up in busy walkways and work areas.
  • UV stability: keeps its colour in sun and bright light.
  • Flexible and tough: handles vibration and thermal changes.
  • Chemical resistance: stands up to oils, fats and many cleaners.
  • Gloss or matt: finish options to suit the space.

Where to Use Polyurethane Floor Coating

  • Top coat over EPX 200 epoxy for UV protection
  • Outdoor and semi-open areas such as porches and terraces
  • Food and beverage plants
  • Areas with thermal shock, heat or vibration

Surface Preparation

On new concrete, the floor is ground, repaired and primed with PRIME 100 epoxy floor primer. When used over an existing epoxy floor, the old surface is cleaned and lightly sanded so the PU coat bonds well. You can read more about polyurethane as a material.

How It Is Applied

  1. Prepare and prime, or sand the existing epoxy floor.
  2. Mix PU 700 part A and part B fully.
  3. Apply by roller in thin, even coats.
  4. Allow full cure before heavy traffic, as given in the TDS.

Pack Size and Technical Data

PU 700 comes as a 20 kg kit. Coverage and recoat times are in the technical data sheet (TDS). For help choosing between epoxy and PU, WhatsApp us at 0332-8111360.

Epoxy Base with PU Top Coat

A common and reliable build-up is an epoxy base for strength and a polyurethane floor coating on top for colour stability and flexibility. This gives you the hardness of epoxy with a top surface that handles sun and wear better.

Care and Maintenance

Clean with a neutral floor cleaner and a soft mop or scrubber. Avoid dragging heavy steel items. Outdoors, wash off sand and dirt regularly, as grit acts like sandpaper underfoot. A polyurethane floor coating can be refreshed with a new top coat when the gloss starts to drop.

Things to Check Before You Order

Let us know if the floor is indoors or outdoors, how much sun it gets, and whether there is heat, cold or vibration. Also tell us if you have an existing epoxy floor, as PU 700 can often be applied over it.

Good to Know

Polyurethane is sensitive to moisture while it cures, so we check humidity before applying it and avoid working in rain or very damp conditions. On outdoor terraces and porches, a light anti-skid texture can be added to the PU top coat so the surface stays safe when wet, without making it hard to clean.

Polyurethane Floor Coating FAQs

Should I choose epoxy or PU?

Epoxy is great for indoor strength. PU is better where there is sun, heat or vibration. Many floors use both: epoxy as the base and PU on top.

Can PU 700 go over my old epoxy floor?

Yes, if the old floor is sound. It is cleaned and sanded first.

Is PU 700 available in matt?

Yes. Gloss and matt finishes are available. Matt is often chosen for offices and outdoor areas to reduce glare.

Do you apply it?

Yes. See our epoxy floor coating service page or contact us for a site visit in Karachi.

Tell us where the floor is and how it is used, and we will recommend the right finish.
