Floorvyn MORTAR 600 is a heavy-duty epoxy mortar laid by trowel as a thick screed. It is meant for floors that get hit hard every day: forklifts, steel trolleys, dropped parts and heavy racks. It is also our go-to product for repairing broken concrete before a coating goes on.

After laying, MORTAR 600 can be sealed with EPX 200 epoxy coating or SL 500 self-leveling epoxy for a smooth, easy-to-clean finish.
Surface Preparation
Loose concrete is broken out and the floor is shot-blasted or ground. Edges of repair areas are cut square, and the surface is primed with PRIME 100 epoxy floor primer so the mortar bonds properly.
How It Is Applied
- Prime the prepared floor or repair area.
- Mix resin, hardener and aggregate in a forced-action mixer.
- Lay with screed rails and compact with a power float or trowel.
- Seal with a top coat once cured, as per the TDS.

Repair or Full Screed?
If only joints, potholes and a few broken patches are damaged, a repair with heavy-duty epoxy mortar is usually enough. If the whole floor is worn, uneven or dusting badly, a full screed gives a new wearing surface. We decide this after looking at the floor and the traffic it takes.
Care and Maintenance
Once sealed, sweep and mop the floor as you would any epoxy floor. Keep an eye on joints and edges near doors and docks, where impact is highest. Small chips can be repaired early with the same heavy-duty epoxy mortar before they grow.
Things to Check Before You Order
Share photos of the damaged areas, a rough size of each patch or the full floor area, and the heaviest load the floor takes. This lets us work out thickness, quantity and whether a top coat is needed.
Good to Know
Epoxy mortar is heavy work and needs the right tools: a forced-action mixer, screed rails and a power float for large areas. Our crew brings this equipment to site. If your floor has expansion joints, we keep them in the new screed and seal them properly, so the floor can still move without cracking across the surface.
